T2T Programme positions African SMEs for structured participation in global markets
We are delighted to announce our partnership with the ECOWAS Parliament, in collaboration with Providus Bank, SMEDAN, GABA Marketplace Center, Borderless Trade Network, Duchess N. Limited, and Valcetra, to launch the ‘West Africa SME Trade Facilitation & Market Access Programme’ through the Training-to-Transactions (T2T) model, a structured initiative designed to support African SMEs in moving from business readiness into real cross-border trade.
The programme is part of the broader ECOWAS Regional Project 2026, focused on strengthening enterprise growth, regional integration, and global market access for African businesses.
In cohort 1, 500 growth-oriented MSMEs across priority sectors including agro-processing, cosmetics, beverages, garments and textiles, and leather will be selected into a highly competitive pipeline designed not just for export readiness, but for real transactions.
Participants will go through a three-phase journey covering market preparation and compliance, market access and buyer engagement, and ultimately transaction execution and FX settlement.
Through this process, SMEs will gain access to practical trade systems, financing pathways specific to export and trade, logistics advisory, and verified routes into markets across Africa, the United States, the Caribbean, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
