Our Institutional Structure

Borderless Trade operates through two complementary but distinct arms—each with a defined mandate, governance framework, and operational focus. This structure ensures clarity, compliance, and institutional integrity across all engagements.

Borderless Trade Network (BTN)

Trade Facilitation & Market Expansion Arm

Borderless Trade Network (BTN) serves as the platform’s trade and ecosystem development arm. Its mandate is to enable cross-border trade, strengthen export readiness, and support market access across Africa and international corridors.

Core Functions

  • Trade facilitation and export development under regional and global frameworks

  • Market entry support and ecosystem building for African enterprises

  • Public–private collaboration on trade policy alignment and execution

  • Capacity building and institutional support for MSMEs and sector platforms

  • Stakeholder convening across governments, trade bodies, and private sector operators

Primary Stakeholders
Governments, trade institutions, export councils, corporates, MSMEs, and development partners.

Borderless Trade & Investments (BTI)

Investment Structuring & Capital Mobilization Arm

Borderless Trade & Investments (BTI) is the group’s dedicated investment advisory and capital mobilization platform. BTI focuses on structuring bankable opportunities and aligning projects with institutional, development, and private capital.

Core Functions

  • Deal structuring and investment advisory for priority sectors

  • Capital mobilization from DFIs, multilaterals, and institutional investors

  • Infrastructure, industrial, and commodity-linked project advisory

  • Public–private partnership (PPP) structuring and execution frameworks

  • Risk mitigation, governance alignment, and investment readiness support

Primary Stakeholders
Institutional investors, DFIs, sovereign entities, infrastructure developers, and large corporates.
